Mark Rawson

Mark Rawson, serves as Director of Operations at Tiamat Maritime, where he oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of maritime survey and inspection operations. He is responsible for ensuring missions are conducted safely, efficiently, and with the operational discipline required to deliver reliable results in challenging maritime environments.

Mark brings more than two decades of leadership and operational experience from a distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in a variety of reconnaissance and special operations-related roles. Throughout his career, he planned and executed complex missions across the globe, including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and multinational operations throughout the Indo-Pacific, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.

As a Force Reconnaissance veteran, certified Combatant Diver, and Diving Supervisor, Mark developed a reputation for disciplined planning, risk management, and leading teams in high-consequence maritime environments where preparation and execution are critical to mission success.

At Tiamat Maritime, Mark applies those same principles along with an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot license to support vessel inspections, infrastructure assessments, underwater operations, and complex survey projects. His mission-focused approach helps ensure clients receive consistent, dependable information that improves visibility, reduces risk, and supports informed decision-making.
